LaLou Productions

The name LaLou Productions originates from when my son was a baby and couldn't pronounce "I love you," so instead, he would say, "LaLou." Our whole family thought it was so cute that we started using it, too, and never stopped.

My dream for LaLou Productions is to produce movies and TV that tell authentic, funny, and emotionally truthful stories of alienated and marginalized people.

LaLou's first two projects are Adelaida and Alienated. Adelaida is a short film based on the true story of my grandmother, a young Nicaraguan woman who fled into the jungle to escape a fate others decided for her. Alienated is about a high school girl who realizes her feelings of being different are for a more significant reason than one would expect because, as it turns out, she is an alien.
